Priorities

Putting RESIDENTS FIRST – making sure that their quality of life is the Township’s highest concern, and DEFENDING NEIGHBORHOODS against commercial creep.

Supporting existing BUSINESS GROWTH and promoting NEW DEVELOPMENT within our commercial areas to increase our commercial tax base – but when there’s a conflict between that and residents’ quality of life, ensuring that quality of life takes priority.

Keeping property taxes low – and lowering them further.

Reforming our Zoning Code and approval processes to end unnecessary property owner burdens, fees, & fines.

Disposing of our Township’s many acres of unused commercial land holdings (let’s sell or use the Taco Bell site and its surroundings).

Stopping wasteful spending & hidden handouts to developers (Ask about the Garages!).

Aggressively keeping you informed and seeking your input, including with an opt-in email newsletter and with live video of meetings.

Reducing the cable TV fee my opponent has refused to cut for the public-access-cable service you pay for but have never received. (Blue Ash charges 3%—why are we at 5%?).

Showing respect to and for all our residents – whom our township government is supposed to serve, not rule over – and ending the bullying, Stay-Out-of-Our-Way culture that many of our residents have unfortunately experienced.

Restoring Trust & Accountability in our government – Our Township is run by 3 Trustees but dominated by 2 long-term incumbents: Tom Weidman and his yes-man, Denny Connor. Their majority vote and their influence over the staff and appointees decides almost every issue, often with no compromises allowed and with resident input ignored. Let’s break up that “Gang of Two” and bring a variety of voices to our Board of Trustees.
